For over 30 years, Stone Hollow Studio, LLC has been
known for murals, illustrations, photography and
sculpture but is most recognized for original,
hand-etched scrimshaw by Michelle "Mike" Ochonicky.
In 2011, Mike was named one of the Top Traditional
Artists in the country by Early American Life magazine
for the 15th time. To view the Directory of Traditional

Some of Mike's art resides in a permanent collection at
the Smithsonian Institute, Dedalo Museum of
Contemporary Art in Abuzzzo, Italy, the Missouri State
Governor's Mansion and can be found in private,
corporate and university collections worldwide. In
both 2010 and 2011, Mike was named Missouri's
Selected Artist and designed the official Missouri
ornament for the National Christmas Tree Lighting in
Washington, D.C. Stone Hollow Studio's scrimshaw
has also been the subject of newspaper and magazine

Mike is a juried member of Missouri Artisans
